DAILY DEVOTIONALS

Devotionals for Thursday:  April 18, 2019

Jesus said… “I Am He” and they all fell…

As they came to arrest Him… Jesus asked; “Whom are you seeking?”

John 18:5-7  (NKJV)

They answered Him, “Jesus [a]of Nazareth.”

Jesus said to them, “I am He.” And Judas, who betrayed Him, also stood with them. Now when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground.

Imagine, that Jesus at the moment of His arrest, His word of ‘I Am He’ threw them all back to the ground? There were at least 300 well-trained soldiers, they all drew back and fell. Without lifting a finger, they all fell like dominoes.

Jesus said…

Matthew 26:53 In Context

Don't you know that I could call on my Father for help, and at once he would send me more than twelve armies of angels?

What a privilege to be an Ambassador for Christ, tomorrow as we see the manifestation of  the Holy Spirit of: Father Son and Holy Spirit, we should stand and know that He is God.

Today as we go about our business, to work, school or even if we are staying home, just consider the scene of the Crucifixion where our Lord was beaten, even forced to carry the cross that he would be nailed to.  On the other hand, just consider that Jesus could have called ten thousand angels to His rescue. Why didn’t He? Because His sole reason for coming to earth was to shed His Blood of Atonement for you and me.

This week we will be visiting the Passover and the events leading up to the Empty Tomb, as we celebrate Easter.  Easter is the most Joyous time of the year just like Christmas, but Easter is the high point of Jesus’ mission to earth for the sole reason to Redeem those whom He loves. He loved us so much that he died for us, but death had no hold on our Messiah, Jesus who is the great “I AM” was there at the beginning of it all, in John 1:  The Word became Flesh…

Conclusion: Today we look at a world that is so separated by man’s greed and exploitation, looking back at the day of Pentecost Verse 8, 9 & 10 above) there was a gathering of Jews, Iranian, Arabs from Libya, Cyprus and other regions; will we come together on the day of the Lord?  Syria (Antioch) is known to have been the birth place of the Church of Christianity in the city of Antioch.  As we see a divided world of Moslems, Jews, Christians and other beliefs of Buddhism and others, we have a world that has drifted apart from God with their own agenda to dominate their regions and to expand their religion on a global basis. Notice: the word used is “Religion” Religion is not Salvation, only Jesus Christ represents Salvation as Jesus is the only one that Died for our Sins. No one else died for others, except Jesus who made the Sacrifice to Redeem us from Sin.

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus we come. Lord Jesus today as we reflect on Your Crucifixion and Your Triumphant Resurrection, Lord we thank you for Your Graciousness and Your Love. Lord we thank You for your Sacrifice at Calvary, and Your Blood of Atonement we receive Lord as we stand in Awe knowing that your choice was not to thwart Your persecutors as they brought You to the Cross Lord. We thank you for choosing to save us by your Grace. Lord We give You our Praises and thank You Lord for this privilege and we ask Your blessings on our Visitors as we pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus to You is the power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

 Jesus predicts Peter’s denial.

Matthew 26:

Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial

31 Then Jesus told them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written:

“‘I will strike the shepherd,
and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

32 But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”

33 Peter replied, “Even if all fall away on account of you, I never will.”

34 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “this very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.”

35 But Peter declared, “Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you.” And all the other disciples said the same.

Matthew 26:

Peter Denies Jesus, and Weeps Bitterly

69 Now Peter sat outside in the courtyard. And a servant girl came to him, saying, “You also were with Jesus of Galilee.”

70 But he denied it before them all, saying, “I do not know what you are saying.”

71 And when he had gone out to the gateway, another girl saw him and said to those who were there, “This fellow also was with Jesus of Nazareth.”

72 But again he denied with an oath, “I do not know the Man!”

73 And a little later those who stood by came up and said to Peter, “Surely you also are one of them, for your speech betrays you.”

74 Then he began to [o]curse and [p]swear, saying, “I do not know the Man!”

Immediately a rooster crowed. 75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus who had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” So, he went out and wept bitterly.

Amazing Grace - Jesus Restores Peter…In Context

John 21:15

Jesus Restores Peter ] So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Feed My lambs.”

In the last days…We read today from the writing of the Apostle Peter, who was considered and authoritative follower of Christ.  Peter’s first letter was written around 60 to 64 BC. His second letter known as 2 Peter was written between 65 and 68 BC.   He was martyred during the reign of Nero.  Peter had zeal to bring the teaching of living for Christ, in 2 Peter 3, he was making a calling to be aware of:

Verse 3:  “His divine Power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him (Jesus Christ) who called us by His own glory and goodness”.

Comment: Just like the messages of today, we are reaching out to all to remind ourselves of what is quoted below:

Reading from: 1 Peter 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.

10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, 11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Prayer:

Lord, today as we pause to hear Your calling, Lord reveal to each of us Your desire. We acknowledge that You did say to Your disciples… take nothing, and do not worry what you will say, as your Holy Spirit will empower each of us. Lord we thank You for our Visitors and we seek Your Divine blessing on all, and to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Tuesday: April 16, 2019

Jesus discloses that one among them would betray Him.

Matthew 26:21

Now as they were eating, He said, “Assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me.”

Jesus came to fulfill the Prophecy…

20 When evening had come, He sat down with the twelve. 21 Now as they were eating, He said, “Assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me.”

22 And they were exceedingly sorrowful, and each of them began to say to Him, “Lord, is it I?”

23 He answered and said, “He who dipped his hand with Me in the dish will betray Me. 24 The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.”

25 Then Judas, who was betraying Him, answered and said, “Rabbi, is it I?”

He said to him, “You have said it.”

As we have said…nothing surprises the Lord.  He knows our thoughts and our intentions.

What is amazing, and fortunately, no parents are rushing to name their son ‘Judas’, there seems to be less than 13 known individuals  in 2013.

Imagine that the contingent of soldiers saw the ‘Power’ of Christ as they came to arrest Him… Jesus asked; “Whom are you seeking?”

John 18:5-7  (NKJV)

They answered Him, “Jesus [a]of Nazareth.”

Jesus said to them, “I am He.” And Judas, who betrayed Him, also stood with them. Now when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground.

Then He asked them again, “Whom are you seeking?”

And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”

Imagine the cost of betrayal of the Messiah was aligned with the value of a slave?

“30 pieces of silver,” is a throwback to a reference in the book of Zechariah. In Zechariah 11 this phrase is used to mean the value of a slave and is based on Jewish Law. Exodus 21:3

30 pieces of silver is the value imposed on a cow. Just imagine that Judas was used by the devil. As we read… Judas gave back the 30 pieces and hung himself.

The difference of opinion on Judas’ remorsefulness or if he had repented.

It is apparent he witnessed Jesus on trial and did nothing to help Jesus. Judas’ returning the silver was not repentance.

All said and done… Jesus reigns supreme and is Lord of lords and King of kings, but above all He is God in One of the Father.

John 14:7

The Father Revealed ] “If you had known Meyou would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”

Praise the Lord…

Prayer:

Father we thank You that Jesus our Redeemer was never forsaken and Lord Jesus because of the Holy Trinity of Father Son and Holy Spirit, we can stand in Victory as You took our sins to the Cross.

Lord Jesus today we go in faith knowing that Your covenant of Your return we can trust, and we thank You for our Visitors and seek Your Divine blessing on us all. To You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore…Amen.

Isaiah 53: The prophecy of the greatest event ever…

GREATSTO.jpg

The 1965 epic motion picture of the Greatest Story ever told; this depicted the birth of Jesus. But we differ on the title, as it is…

The Greatest Event in the history of mankind.

Stories are of Peter Rabbit and Alice in Wonderland.

Jesus the ‘Christ’

He is the Un-Blemished Lamb of God.

Over 700 years before Jesus came born of a Virgin, the Prince of Prophets, Isaiah wrote about Jesus…

Isaiah 53 Good News Translation (GNT)

53 The people reply,

“Who would have believed what we now report?
Who could have seen the Lord's hand in this?
It was the will of the Lord that his servant
grow like a plant taking root in dry ground.
He had no dignity or beauty
to make us take notice of him.
There was nothing attractive about him,
nothing that would draw us to him.
We despised him and rejected him;
    he endured suffering and pain.
No one would even look at him—
we ignored him as if he were nothing.

“But he endured the suffering that should have been ours,
the pain that we should have borne.
All the while we thought that his suffering
    was punishment sent by God.
But because of our sins he was wounded,
beaten because of the evil we did.
We are healed by the punishment he suffered,
made whole by the blows he received.
All of us were like sheep that were lost,
each of us going his own way.
But the Lord made the punishment fall on him,
the punishment all of us deserved.

“He was treated harshly, but endured it humbly;
    he never said a word.
Like a lamb about to be slaughtered,
like a sheep about to be sheared,
    he never said a word.

Today we have so much to be thankful for…

The most important of all is the saving Grace of our Lord.

The fact of life is a reality that we all know… the brevity of life, but this is really not true, why? Because Jesus said…

He came so that we will have life and have it ‘more’ abundantly.

These are the most important events in the history of what matters:

The Birth of Jesus

The crucifixion of Jesus

The Resurrection of Jesus

And the most important, yet to come:

The return of Jesus.

Just like what Jesus said of the ‘More’ abundant life, He is coming, and on that day, the more-abundant life begins.

Are we ready? As a famous singer said… he stayed up all night, as he couldn’t wait for his Rolls Royce to be delivered. Are we just as excited about the coming of Jesus?

On that day of the Lord, He will return with more than a car that becomes a junkyard relic. The splendor of a sanctified life begins, forever in the presence of the Lord.

   Action/Coming to our Lord:

Addressing the displaced… In the eyes of our Lord no one is ‘displaced’ there is the story of a person saying to his friend… I am sorry to hear that you lost your wife,  the friend said, “Oh No, I did not lose her, I know exactly where she is; she went home to be with the Lord Jesus”

Perspective is what it is all about, our short-coming in this world was never meant to be by our Lord.  He said “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you”. Matthew 7:7

Prayer and the Golden Rule

Ephesians 3:20

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,

Conclusion:

Jesus our Lord ascended to Heaven and as He described His Kingdom as ‘Paradise’  and we read and in Faith acknowledge His covenants and His  Word …

1 John 3:2-3  (NASB)

Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Action/Coming to our Lord:

Come to our Lord Jesus as He is the same Yesterday, today and tomorrow, Jesus is the Truth the way and He is Forever.  He holds the Future; all others will end in plight.

Conclusion:

"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose."

By Jim Elliott… A Pioneer Missionary and a Martyr for the Glory of God….

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, in Jesus our Redeemer and our Sovereign Eternal God we come… Lord Jesus Today’s words of Assurance provided all of what we need to face this day. Lord Your Graciousness and Your Love we accept and we Praise You as You have given us the ultimate Gift of Eternity with you Lord. As we go forward in Faith we seek Your Divine Blessings and Your guidance knowing that by Your Holy Spirit we can face the wiles of the evil one and we can conquer in Your name and be Victorious in You our Lord Jesus. Devotionals for Sunday: April 14, 2019

Your presence in church will be a blessing to all…why? You may say “I came to receive blessing” … yes, your presence is an endorsement of the worship and witnessing of your faith in the Lord.

It has been said many times…”I do not go to church because it is full of hypocrites”.

Guess what? There’s always room for one more. (so, many may come today)

The church slogan said… This is a hospital for sinners (& hypocrites) and not a club for Saints.

Sometimes you may feel that you haven’t gained anything at church, but you may have brought something to church, and it may have been a blessing to someone.

Look at is this way… Coming to Church is for one reason and one only, and this is to give Praise to the Almighty, to sing praises to the Lord and to remember Jesus the Messiah, as He came and gave His life in exchange for our sins. Be with the Body of Christ, seek Him first.

If the church was full of saints and no hypocrite, then our presence would probably ruin the perfect setting.

Even Paul the chosen one as the Vessel for Christ, he said he was chief among sinners.

1 Timothy 1:15

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.

If anyone of us can be perfect then Christ would not have to die in our place.

Knowing that Jesus’ mission is accomplished as He said…” It is Finished”

In the coming days we will be in Holy Week, and this is all about the fulfillment of the Prophecy of Jesus our Messiah.

Isaiah 53: 5-7  New King James Version (NKJV)

The Sin-Bearing Messiah

5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,

He was bruised for our iniquities;

The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,

And by His stripes we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray;

We have turned, every one, to his own way;

And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted,

Yet He opened not His mouth;

He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,

And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,

So He opened not His mouth.

Conclusion:

Heaven is a place of Incomprehensible beauty and peace, Let us give thanks in Faith to our Lord Jesus Who Paid It All…

Prayer… Lord Jesus we thank You for the Covenant of Your promise that in Your Father’s Kingdom there are many mansions, and where You are we will be.  Lord,  today let Your Holy Spirit be upon our Visitors and us all… as we pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus our Supreme Eternal God to You Lord is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Saturday: April 13, 2019

Go to the Father in Reverence, let it be a Spiritual meeting and not a ritual. Recognizing the Holiness of the Father and through Jesus our Mediator we have communion with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit

We are told to be Holy…

1 Peter 1:15-17 New International Version (NIV)

15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16 for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”[a]

17 Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear.

The ‘Be Holy, because I am holy” a statement that we can strive to be…

So, do not let the allure of the world be a distraction.

God said…

Be still and know that “I am God”

Psalm 46:10 In Context

Be stilland know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

 2 Timothy 1:9

He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,

The calling of Matthew…
Matthew 9: 9 As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,” he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.

Commentary:

Jesus called Matthew and immediately Matthew left his post at the Tax collection office and went with Jesus. He later had a Feast prepared for Jesus and invited his friend that were many Tax Collectors.  Matthew who wrote the first Gospel of the New Testament wrote with less details of the event, but his writing was centered around Jesus and not of the events taking place around Jesus. He made Jesus the focal point and expressed his loyalty to Jesus.

The book of Matthew is the commencement of the New Testament, and it is one of the Synoptic Gospels. While we read that Jesus did call Matthew and this is verse 9, the book of Matthew starts with the Genealogy of Christ and the events of John the Baptist and Christ healing of many including the Leper, the blind and the paralyzed… You may ask how the events written by Matthew, were not in chronological order and him leaving his Tax collection booth.

Our Lord Jesus consistently chose the right person for His purposes.  Jesus chose Matthew because of His knowledge of record keeping as a tax-collector, as we see the compilation of the Genealogy published at the beginning of Matthew.  Just as how Jesus chose Saul to be His vessel, why? Maybe because Saul later known as Paul was a diligent individual and when engaged Paul spent his time with deep dedication.  Saul/Paul was not a ‘wishy-washy individual, when he was a persecutor of Christians, he was a dedicated person, when Jesus called him he became a dedicated Christian.

Our infallible Lord did have Judas as one of His disciples, you may ask how this could be a good choice, Judas was there to fulfil a mission of betraying Christ. Why? Jesus came to fulfil the Prophecy written 700 years (Isaiah 53) before Jesus came as a man.

Prayer:

Lord we thank You for Your Grace, we thank You for the privilege of serving You and reaching many for Your Glory, Lord we ask Your Favors upon us all and for our Visitors to come and know You and have Your Redemption, as we look to that day when we shall see You as You are. Lord Jesus we pray and thank You; and to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Friday: April 12, 2019

Nothing surprises the Father, and Jesus who was destined before the creation of the world,

He, Jesus was not surprised of Adam’s sin.

When the Lord said… Adam where are you?

It was Yeshua/Jesus walking in the garden, and He knew where Adam was, but He wanted Adam to reveal himself with the ‘guilt’ of what he did.

Genesis 3:8-10  NKJV)

And they heard the [a]sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the [b]cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”

10 So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.”

11 And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”

12 Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”

13 And the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”

The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

14 So the Lord God said to the serpent:

“Because you have done this,
You are cursed more than all cattle,
And more than every beast of the field;
On your belly you shall go,
And you shall eat dust
All the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”

16 To the woman He said:

“I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception;
In pain you shall bring forth children;
Your desire shall be [e]for your husband,
And he shall rule over you.”

17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’:

“Cursed is the ground for your sake;
In toil you shall eat of it
All the days of your life.
18 Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you,
And you shall eat the herb of the field.
19 In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread
Till you return to the ground,
For out of it you were taken;
For dust you are,
And to dust you shall return.”

20 And Adam called his wife’s name Eve,[g] because she was the mother of all living.

21 Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.

22 Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— 23 therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. 24 So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

God’s first act of His Grace, as He did…

21 Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.

Jesus our Redeemer…

The Supremacy of Christ...

Not Legalism but Christ ] In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,

So, who we are? just like Adam…

Nothing surprised the Father, and Jesus was not surprised of Adam’s sin, that is carried forward to us. It is by the Divine Grace that we are Redeemed.

Do you deserve the abundance?

Be ready to harvest an abundant crop, and remember to share it…

In Biblical teaching, Jesus talked about the owner of the Vineyard and the take-over by the vineyard keepers.  Jesus was foretelling His own experience (A Metaphor to His Crucifixion) as seen in…

John 1: The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.

11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Luke 20:9 [The Parable of the Tenants] He went on to tell the people this parable: “A man planted a vineyard, rented it to some farmers and went away for a long time. Luke 20:8-10 (in Context) Luke 20 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations

Luke 20:10 At harvest time he sent a servant to the tenants, so they would give him some of the fruit of the vineyard. But the tenants beat him and sent him away empty-handed. Luke 20:9-11 (in Context)

Luke 20:13 “Then the owner of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my son, whom I love; perhaps they will respect him.’ Luke 20:12-14 (in Context)

Luke 20:15 So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. “What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them?

Luke 20:14-16 (in Context) Luke 20

Luke 20:16 He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others.” When the people heard this, they said, “God forbid!” Luke 20:15-17 (in Context)

(Matthew 7:21–23). (NIV) True and False Disciples:

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

But God is not mocked

(Galatians 6:7); (NIV)

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

EVENING:

The Un-Ending Love of our Savior…

He knows who his people are

(2 Timothy 2:19). (NIV) 19 Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”

1 John 3 New International Version (NIV)

3 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.

His Eternal-Assurance:

(Claim this tonight by coming to our Lord) Romans 8:38-39 New International Version (NIV)

38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus we come.  Lord we thank You for Your Covenant of Grace and Your Eternal Word of Assurance as in You Lord Jesus nothing can ever separate us from You as we look to that day when we shall see You Lord Jesus. We approach Your throne of Grace with confidence to receive Your mercies and by Your Grace Your providence shall be upon us and our Visitors. Lord we thank You and give You first place in our lives, Lord we pray in Your Precious Name Lord Jesus to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

God’s Loving Care. He knows our needs before we ask

Focus: The Lord is ready to provide all your ‘Needs’. All you need to do is ‘Ask’. He knows your needs, but you must make a request.  Ask, Seek & Knock… ASK

TEXT:  Matthew 20: Two Blind Men Receive Their Sight

29 Now as they went out of Jericho, a great multitude followed Him. 30 And behold, two blind men sitting by the road, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”

31 Then the multitude warned them that they should be quiet; but they cried out all the more, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”

32 So Jesus stood still and called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?”

33 They said to Him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.” 34 So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.

Don’t you think that Jesus knew what these blind men wanted? Yet Jesus said…“What do you want Me to do for you?”

His Faithfulness:

He knows our needs, and He also knows our ‘wants’ but what we most often want is really not what we need. So, He will provide all our needs…

Philippians 4:19 [Full Chapter]

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Matthew 7:7 [Keep Asking, Seeking, knocking] “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

His Promise:

Matthew 7:8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Scripture for today… written by James the brother of Christ.

James 4 (NIV)

Submit Yourselves to God

4 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

You adulterous people,  don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. Or do you think Scripture says without reason that he jealously longs for the spirit he has caused to dwell in us? But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:

“God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.”

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

11 Brothers and sisters do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister[d] or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.12 There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?

He is Faithful and He is Omniscient, Omnipresence and He is able, so remember…

Hebrews 10:23 (NIV)

23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

To know Christ:  Repent (Turn from your sins) and by faith receive Jesus Christ into your heart and life and follow Him in obedience as your Lord and Savior.

Pray this prayer of Commitment: Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name I pray Lord Jesus… Amen.

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus we come… Lord Jesus thank You for being in our midst as You presents us to the Father by Your Righteousness. Lord thank You for the privilege of serving You and thank You for our Visitors, bless us all as we go in faith knowing that all our needs are met by You Lord. We thank you and to You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

will 8 Billion people be judged? will it take 3 thousand years to judge them all? Maybe not, as God can do this under His time, just as how He created earth in six-days.

Many years ago, an atheist person confronted me and my sister when we were kids. This person wanted to disprove the validity of the scripture regarding the judgment, as it is said…

Hebrews 9:27 In Context

And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die   after this comes judgment,

The atheist person said, how will God be able to judge each individual as it would take thousands of years to go through the entire population.  The answer is… Since God is Omnipotent and Omniscient, He can discern and know each individual’s conviction or innocence.

Recalling Jesus telling Nathaniel of He is seeing them under the fig tree (Which was a distance away)where Jesus was…

John 1:48

Nathanael *said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

John 1:50

Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you that I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You will see greater things than these.”

Man can never question the Power of God… What an atheist person should do is to walk out into the midst of a severe lighting and thunderstorm hold an iron rod, and then say “if there is a God and a Creator strike me dead. Let’s see how well he will fare with a lighting conductor strapped to his chest.

No, we are not advocating that an atheist do such a suicidal act, but being the fearless atheist with no higher power than this poor chap, he should have nothing to fear, other than a bus hitting him or him being choked on a chicken bone, and Oh yes,  chickens are created by God.  So, he needs to find something else to eat that is not God-Created, which will be nothing, even the air he breathes, all are from the Creator.

Romans 14:11

For it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”

In Context

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in our Lord Jesus we pray for those unbelievers as it is said… Every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess to You Lord. Lord we affirm that without You we are can do nothing. Lord we thank You for Your Saving-Grace as we go in faith knowing that all things work together for those who love You Lord. Lord bless our Visitors and grant us all Your Divine Providence as You know our needs even before we ask.  To You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Is your name in the Book of Life?

Revelation 3:5

He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

Revelation 20:15 In Context

And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:27

But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

What is the best thing that you ever received?

Think on this…. If you were aboard the Titanic and you went up to the life boat and it was full, but someone said… ‘come aboard’, and he got up and gave you his seat and left the boat, would you consider this person to be your savior? Certainly, as just after you boarded the ship sank, and you were saved.

The parallel of that person giving up his life for you to be saved, this is what Jesus did for us all.

Romans 5:12

Here’s the greatest Gift…

Romans 5:6Christ in Our PlaceFor when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. In Context

One of the good gifts that we have… the freedom of worship.

So, today we come to our Lord knowing that only the Future that he offers is worthy of being owned. He had endowed this to each of us….

Hebrews 13:5 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,”

Philippians 4: 6: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4: 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4: 19 & 20 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 20 Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Things to consider…

For Pastors and leaders…. two things to ponder… In our prayers, Jesus is always present, so we always end our prayers by telling Him… “In you Name we pray”. Not the third-party inference of: “in Jesus name we pray.

Secondly…? If we do not do the alter call, we must end with the Lord’s Supper. If we don’t. How would a pastor feel if someone in the audience wanted to come to Christ, but the service ended and while that person who wanted to accept the Lord was walking to his car he was hit and died? This happened when Dwight Moody one night did not do the alter call and it was the night of the great Chicago fire and many perished. He never ended another sermon without the alter call.

DAILY DEVOTIONALS

Devotionals for Sunday April 7, 2019

It’s the Lord’s Day…

Praise our Lord for His Sovereignty and His Unconditional love as He is still calling us to come to Him

1 Peter 17: 19 … but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.

Acts 24: 19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God

The fact that outside of Christ I had no spiritual life, meaning without HIS Grace, I could not have any Spiritual Communion with the Living God as under Adam we are all Dead.  John 15:5 Jesus said: “Apart from me you can do nothing” Therefore without Him I am an OUTCAST so I seek Jesus every moment.

Live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.  4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

In our walk with our Lord, we must have communion with Him by…

1) Knowing that God loves us all, meaning we must be rooted in Love. 2) to remain un-shaken and remain strong by the Established Love .3) To be rooted and established in Christ’s Love, 4) To be filled with God’s Holy Spirit, 5) That one must be satisfied and complete in Him, 6) To move towards the full purpose that God intended for us, 7) Let the Power of His Holy Spirit work in us

We can achieve the following by coming to our Lord…

1 Nearness to God, 2) Oneness with fellow believers, 3) Peace with one another, 4) One person out of two, (there are neither Jews nor Gentile in the presence of our Lord) 5) Access by One Spirit to the Father (Only through Jesus we can come to the Father) 6) As a Fellow citizen with the Saint of God’s Household, 7) Build on the Foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, by living for HIM.

Today come to our Lord and listen to his invitation as He said…

Matthew 11:28

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 6:33-34 New International Version (NIV)

33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

His Promise:

No, Jesus has not forgotten us, 2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

His Faithfulness:

Romans 8:16 (NIV)

16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

Action/Coming to our Lord:

Ephesians 1:11-23  (NIV)

11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

 (Paul’s message to the Ephesians)

Ephesians 1: 19-23

Thanksgiving and Prayer

19 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

Prayer:

Father in Jesus we come, Lord Jesus you have said no one comes to the Father unless through You.... Lord we Thank You as our Eternal Sovereign God in One of the Father in Your Holy Trinity. Lord Thank You for Your Unconditional Love for us and the privilege that You have given to us all. Lord we thank You for Your faithfulness that we can find Your Green Pastures and the Still Waters that You have led us to. Lord Your blessings abound in the lives of all that seek You and You said, Seek You first and Your Righteousness… Lord we thank You and let all Your blessing be upon us and our Visitors. To You Lord Jesus be the Power and the glory now and forevermore… Amen.

What have we accomplished this week? Can we do what we postponed, reach out to that person and say… “God loves you and so do I”

While the above outreach is a friendly gesture with a message of God’s love, we need to proactively spread the Good News of Christ’s salvation and to extend the invitation to come into His Kingdom…

Not all of us are mission focused to spread the Good News, but the reality is, a person as a friend, most certainly you would want he or she to have the Joy of knowing Christ.

The finest example of one spreading the Gospel of Christ, as seen in the event of Paul’s testimony before King Agrippa and Governor Festus…

Acts 26
Paul Recounts His Conversion

12 “While thus occupied, as I journeyed to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, 13 at midday, O king, along the road I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who journeyed with me. 14 And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ 15 So I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. 16 But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. 17 I will[b]deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, 18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins andan inheritance among those who are sanctified[d] by faith in Me.’

Paul’s Post-Conversion Life

19 “Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, 20 but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance. 21 For these reasons the Jews seized me in the temple and tried to kill me. 22 Therefore, having obtained help from God, to this day I stand, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses said would come— 23 that the Christ would suffer, that He would be the first to rise from the dead, and would proclaim light to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.”

24 Now as he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, “Paul, you are beside yourself! Much learning is driving you mad!”

25 But he said, “I am not [e]mad, most noble Festus, but speak the words of truth and reason. 26 For the king, before whom I also speak freely, knows these things; for I am convinced that none of these things escapes his attention, since this thing was not done in a corner. 27 King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you do believe.”

28 Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian.”

29 And Paul said, “I would to God that not only you, but also all who hear me today, might become both almost and altogether such as I am, except for these chains.”

30 When he had said these things, the king stood up, as well as the governor and Bernice and those who sat with them; 31 and when they had gone aside, they talked among themselves, saying, “This man is doing nothing deserving of death or chains.”

32 Then Agrippa said to Festus, “This man might have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar.”

King Agrippa said to Paul…

28 Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian.”

‘Almost becoming a Christian’ still is insufficient… As we say: ‘You cannot test drive’ being a Christian, you are either born-again in Christ or you remain unsaved.

Paul’s conviction of the Mercies of Christ made him a ‘Vessel’ for the Lord.

We too can do as Paul did, Paul stood before King, Governor and his peers, the Lord chose this former persecutor of Christians and made him a cornerstone in building His Kingdom built on the foundation of Christ the Solid Rock on which we stand.

Without Christ, you are building on ‘Sand’ With Him as the Cornerstone, you are on Solid Rock…

Conclusion:

Ephesians 2:8

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

Spending the future, yes, all governments are doing this. Why? Every budget is full of waste, and mismanagement.

A budget deficit is when spending exceeds income. The term applies to governments, although individuals, companies, and other organizations can run deficits.

Are churches doing the same?

In ministries, many church leaders are doing a great job, but some by the adoption of a ‘business-model’ of more is good; and the over-expansion can lead to the same outcome of being on a treadmill of needing more donors to meet the obligations.  While The Lord said take nothing on the journey to His disciples, we need to let the mission be His, and let us not build trophies but follow the Lord’s instruction and let it all be His will.

An example is the Glass-Cathedral built in California that grew and grew that it incurred a billion dollars in debt and subsequently went bankrupt.

The Good News… God does not have anything against being rich, in fact  Jesus had many friends that were rich, such as Joseph of Arimathea, Nicodemus, and we see Christ chose Paul (Saul of Tarsus) who was a persecutor of Christians, Saul was a Tent-Maker, recent studies are now revealing that Paul came from a well-off family that gave him an education and gained his citizenship as a Roman.

Here we see that Jesus chose people of above average means to serve His mission.  As the text below states (Mark 10:26) Jesus said, “Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God! Let us focus on the directive of this sentence… How hard it is for those ‘who trust’ in riches…

His Faithfulness:

Jesus the giver of Life – everlasting, remember that a ‘Free’ Gift had to be bought by the giver, and Jesus bought His Priceless Gift with His Life by dying for us, and His Payment was Redeemed by the Father as He Rose from death. His Resurrection is a Witness of what He has endowed for those in Jesus who shall also share in His Glory through His Divine Redemption.

Yes we can receive His ‘Priceless-Gift’ right now and be made a Joint-Heir in Christ our Savior.

Matthew 10:32

[Confess Christ before Men] “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess (you) before My Father who is in heaven. In Context | Full Chapter

Prayer is better than the best medicine, it is a cure for health, mind and soul. Nothing else can do this.

Jesus Himself spent hours praying to the Father

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!”

Mark 1:35-37 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Mark%201:35-37&version=NIV

Come to the Father by coming to our Mediator and our Redeemer… Jesus our Lord and Savior who said…

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

John 14:6-7 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=John%2014:6-7&version=NIV

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:37-39 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Romans%208:37-39&version=NIV

As we focus of the Power of Prayers, we give Praises to the Father and to Jesus our Redeemer…

David’s Prayer
1 Chronicle 29

10 David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly, saying,

“Praise be to you, Lord,
the God of our father Israel,
    from everlasting to everlasting.
11 Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power
and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
for everything in heaven and earth is yours.
Yours, Lord, is the kingdom;
you are exalted as head over all.
12 Wealth and honor come from you;
you are the ruler of all things.
In your hands are strength and power
to exalt and give strength to all.
13 Now, our God, we give you thanks,
    and praise your glorious name.

14 “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.15 We are foreigners and strangers in your sight, as were all our ancestors. Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope. 16 Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you. 17 I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity. All these things I have given willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you. 18 Lord, the God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac and Israel, keep these desires and thoughts in the hearts of your people forever, and keep their hearts loyal to you. 19 And give my son Solomon the wholehearted devotion to keep your commands, statutes and decrees and to do everything to build the palatial structure for which I have provided.”

20 Then David said to the whole assembly, “Praise the Lord your God.” So, they all praised the Lord, the God of their fathers; they bowed down, prostrating themselves before the Lord and the king.

Romans 11:33-36

Ohthe depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

34 “For who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has become His counselor?”
35 “Or who has first given to Him
And it shall be repaid to him?”

36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus we Praise You and give You the Glory, as we thank You for Your Divine Providence, Bless our Visitors and grant us all Your Peace in Your Holy Name we pray... Amen

Devotionals for Wednesday: April 3, 2019

“Your new Visa is valid for 10 years” but your ultimate Visa is perpetual with no expiration, get it now.

Visiting some countries they will issue you a Visa for up to 10 Years, and right here at your country of origin you will need no Visa, but you will live for maybe 90 or more years. So, where’s your permanent place of abode?

Jesus said…. He went to prepare a place for you and where He is you will be also. Also the place that Jesus will provide is an eternal Home, no Visa needed, no aging, no move-up or move down, just the ultimate place of Splendor and beauty.

Imagine a city where the streets are paved with Gold? A place where there will be no automobile fumes, no noisy air-Conditioners, no congested street and no waiting in lines.

No hospitals and no police.

And the best part of being in this city, you never have to leave…

Revelation 21:18

The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.

Commentary:  The question what will you be doing when you get there? Will you be doing more of the same? Is the more of the same what our Lord would consider acceptable?

In Heaven there will be One Lord, One God and He is Jesus… Every knee shall bow, and every lip will give our Lord Jesus the Glory knowing He is Lord and God in the Holy Trinity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, dwelling among us all in His Kingdom.

Heaven is a place fully sanctified and ‘Hardened’ (hardened means to be protected from radiation) against sin, there will be no deceit, no greed, no immorality, no Hollywood, no jails and no hospitals, no cemeteries, only LIFE and it will be Ever-Lasting, no Power Grids, because our Lord will be the source of Light, and the Joy from him.

Jesus gave us all a ‘glimpse’ of the above, but our finite brain power could not break the barriers. Because our ‘Faith’ has limitation that prevented us from reaching His dimension, remember Jesus said…”I am not of this world”;  therefore, be prepared for un-bridled Joy in a place of un-imaginable Splendor described by Jesus himself as “Paradise’

Mark 16:19

[Christ Ascends to God’s Right Hand] So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

Authors and story writers have given us nursery rhymes, Peter Rabbit, Alice in Wonderland, Mickey Mouse and all us have grown up watching Sesame street, with Elmo and Big Bird… These are all acceptable across the board in all levels of society.  But when it comes to God, the Bible and Christianity, this is where the Word of God becomes vetted and now being voted by our law makers that the Bible cannot be brought on Campus in many branches of our Military.

In fact, the ACLU sued to have a painting of Jesus removed from a school that hung it its place since 1947, and they have actually tried to place warning labels on the Holy Bible.  The oxymoron meaning of American Civil Liberties Union that ‘advocates’  individual  rights, then if this is their quest, then they need to be abolished, as many of their actions are against  civil liberties of individuals.

Minute erosions of our religious freedoms are being instituted by atheist groups and even by those with leaning toward embracing the Sharia law of Islam.  This is a small trickle that will turn into a roaring river of reform that will significantly change the texture of this great society.

John 3: 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

Let us Praise our Lord as we end the day…Colossians 1:16

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

Prayer.  Father we come in Jesus our Lord and savior. Lord as we end this day we thank You for Your Graciousness and we place all in Your Holy hands. Lord let Your Holy Spirit be with us as we thank You for Your Favors and Your Faithfulness in meeting our needs and the needs of our Visitors. We pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus as we look to a new dawn filled with Your Love and Grace, to You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Tuesday: April 2, 2019

Focus of the Provider, not what is provided… give thanks before unwrapping, then appreciate the gift…

Jesus is the giver of Life

John 1:4

In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.

John 3:15

so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life.

John 5:24

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 [Full Chapter]

in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. By Hi

The Provider is Jesus, and it is by Him and Through Him that His Unique Gift can be given. There’s no other name that one can be saved.

Many may say…  ”Why do I have to be Saved?” Because you were born with a ‘Soul’ and your Soul will live forever, and the second question; so? What’s the problem here? As a descendant of Adam, you and all were born with an inherent blemish, this is Sin…

So, you may ask… I did not ask to be born, and now I am told that I am a sinner, even though I have lived a clean life and am a law-abiding citizen?

Yes, you are marked with the scars or sin. But God in His mercies, sent His Son Jesus to redeem you and though His sacrifice on the cross, your sin are washed away when you come to Him and received His Redemption.

When you come and ask to be saved, you are Redeemed from condemnation and are now saved by His Grace.

Ephesians 2:8 In Context |

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

Hebrews 13:9 In Context

Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them.

Principle: For there is One GOD and One Mediator between God and Man, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all… 1 Timothy 2: 5-6 NKJ

Conclusion: Whom God chooses, He will see that His (God’s) plan is carried out through the one He chooses. He chose, Abraham, Isaac & Jacob, and He may have chosen you too. For certain He knows you by name, even before you were born.  So, as we aim for Success to achieve that utopia, let us seek Fulfillment through our Lord Jesus. Because He said Seek Him First and His Righteousness…

His Promise / His Faithfulness:

Matthew 6:33 (AMP)

33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

Action/Coming to our Lord:

Ephesians 1:7 (AMP)

In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor.

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus we come. Lord Jesus we Thank You for choosing us and remembering us that You came and Redeemed us. Lord Your statement that You are not of this world we acknowledge as on that day the trumpet will sound and the Heavens will open with Your majestic return, seen from the east to the west.  Lord Your Divine Grace we accept, and we look to that day when we shall see You as You are.  Lord. Bless our Visitors and grant Your favors to all, as we pray in Your Holy name Lord Jesus to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Monday: April 1, 2019

Looking ahead at this new week full of opportunities. Don’t miss out, use it

The opportunities are:

Who needs Prayer?

Is there someone that is undergoing treatment?

Someone that may need financial help?

Someone looking for a Job and some families that are in needs.

Bringing the needs of your friends or colleagues to the Lord, your gift may not be a physical gift. But, the ‘Gift’ of the Lord’s providence, His healing power and His abundant life will be far greater than anything you could give that person.

Ephesians 3:20  (NASB)

20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,

Jesus said He came that we would have life and have it more abundantly…

Text: Revelation 3:20

Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.  Revelation 3:19-21

Commentary:

Behold my Jesus stands at the door and knock. While He can enter without opening the door, but He is calling me to receive Him, and His mission is to bring me Joy, as he said as I stand at the door and know and if I answers,

He will come in and dine with me.  What a privilege this would be to sit at a table set by my Lord and to be just like when He sat at dinner with the disciples.

Just think how Jesus would bring me great news of what he has prepared for me and to give me insight of what to come? I can imagine that the table setting would be with delicacies of fruits, nectars, fishes, meat and bread.  I can imagine how He would pray over the setting and thank His Father and then feast with me as He prepared only the best.

As we move towards the day of the Last-Supper….

May we be reminded that the absence of Lamb being served, this was because at the table was the ‘Unblemished Lamb of God… Jesus as the Lamb of God.

His Priceless Gift is something we cannot purchase, earn it, inherit it or own it because we ‘deserve’ it.

This is the Grace of God…

Ephesians 2:8-9(NKJV)

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Can you imagine that when you arrive in Heaven you meet this fellow who said…’Let me tell you how I got here’ I made it on my own, because I am the greatest.    Mohammed Ali once said:” I am the Greatest” but remembering that we are mere humans, created in the Likeness of God… but we are born with a blemish.  This blemish is ‘sin’ as by one made sin entered into the world, and by One Redeemer we are saved.

Therefore, being redeemed by the Blood…

We thank You Lord as we seek your blessings upon our Visitors and Your Divine Providence on us all.  To You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.
